Pad savers are used protect the backing pad from wear and tear and extend the life, when sanding aggressively and for long periods. Pad savers are placed between the backing pad and the sanding disc, and should be changed regulary to ensure optimal sanding and prevent damage to the backing pad. 

Instructions

Simply match the hole pattern on the backing pad to the pad saver and press firmly to attach the backing pad. Then attach your sanding disc to the backing pad and the installation is complete.
