Owatrol Seasonite Exterior Wood Protector and Stabiliser

Owatrol's innovative Seasonite product guards new wood during its first year, when it is most vulnerable. New wood is especially vulnerable to the effects of excessive moisture and UV rays when it is first exposed to the elements.

It can very quickly start to warp and crack if unprotected, which will have unsightly and damaging effects. To stop warping, seasonite stabilises the wood and regulates the flow of moisture. It forms a bond with the fibres of the wood to protect it for a longer period of time from deterioration brought on by UV rays, pollution, and too much moisture.

Applying seasonite to horizontal or vertical surfaces only needs one generous coat. It is perfect for softwoods, especially pressure-treated wood, and can be applied with a brush. It gives the wood a year to weather naturally and gets it ready for re-coating after 6 to 12 months.

Seasonite allows the pores of the wood to naturally open and significantly lowers the risk of damage to your new wood structures during the first winter. After 6-12 months of weathering (six to nine months for softwood and twelve months for hardwood), Seasonite offers a stable surface for paint, wood stain, or other finishes to be applied to. This minimises the greying and weathering process.

NOTE - Seasonite is only suitable for unfinished new wood. For weathered wood please use Net-Trol wood cleaner followed by a penetrating product such as Textrol wood oil.
